I'm a tattoo artist

Heyy, today I wanted to show some things I made in the past few days. A friend of me had a bottle of ink for making (unpermanent) tattoo's, so I drew divergent logo's on my friends' wrists. I had Erudite, and my friends had Amity and Dauntless. Later I added the Candor symbol on the other wrist of my Dauntless friend with eyeliner, because that will stay long and it isn't bad for your skin. Here are the tattoos:

My look at the Divergent movie

Heyy, I went to see Divergent on April 5th and it was really amazing. In my opinion in was true to the book and the cast was amazing. 

For the people who don't know the book/movie, a summery:

Sociaty is devided into five factions based on personality: Erudite (the intelligent), Amity (the peacefull), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave) and Abnegation (the selfless). Tris (originally from Abnegation) is a Divergent, which means she doesn't fit into just one faction, but more. According to the leaders, Divergents threaten the system because they can't be controlled. Tris chose Dauntless and then has to survive the initiation process (and more). But she's not alone, because she meets Four (yeah, like the number), who helps her. Tris is played by Shailene Woodley, the handsome Four by Theo James and Tris' handsome brother is played by Ansel Elgort.

As you may know from 'my look at the Catching Fire movie premiere', I go to fandom movies in "costume". So for the Divergent movie, I dressed as Erudite. Fake nerd glasses, a tie and no other color than blue (every faction has it's own colors: Erudite has blue, Amity has red and yellow, Candor has black and white, Dauntless wear black and Abnegation wears grey). Here is my 'casual' version of the look (so without glasses or tie):

Monthly Questions: March

Heyy, today I finally have the monthly questions of March, although it's already April 11th. Here it is:

1. Nicest thing that happened
School camp to Berlin. I have already posted a review of that. This is the link: http://fashionistar17.blogspot.nl/2014/03/my-schoolcamp-reviewvlog.html

2. Something you’re proud of
I’ve lost 2 kilos (= 4.4 pounds) in 4 weeks. I was so proud of myself. Since Augustus 2013 I’ve been trying to lose weight through a program with a sport group and help from a nutritionist. From Augustus to December I’ve lost 2 kilos, but then in January and February I’ve gained 2 kilos, so I was so glad that I lost them again in such a short time.

3. One crazy fact about you
I’m good at “copying” things. When I sing (I don’t sing very well, but still) I copy the way the person sings (like the pitch, accents, intonations, and more). When I draw someone from a photo, I “copy” the photo with my pencil. Typography and cartoon drawing is also sort of copying for me. Studying for a test is copying the things in my head. Unconsciously I have copied behavior, like how to react when someone is hurt or sad, because I didn’t use to know how to react to situations like that.

4. Biggest obsession of the month
My test week :( It isn’t a nice obsession, but this whole month has been about the test week, even sometimes when we were at school camp. I’ve offered to help someone with Physics on camp. The week between camp and testweek was a huge stress week for me, because I was running behind on almost every subject. I hade to take medicines to deal with the stress, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to write a single answer, even if I did know it. But those medicines did help, because my grades are a 6.8 for Dutch, 8,2 for Sociology, 8.5 and 8.6 for English, 8.9 for Economics, 9.1 for Biology, 9.3 for Physics, 9.5 for Chemistry and a 9.6 for Mathematics.

5. Movies you saw
This month I have watched ‘Frozen’ and ‘The Mortal Instruments’. I didn’t had much time to watch movies or do anything fun actually, because of school. I really loved Frozen, it’s such a cute sweet movie. I watched The Mortal Instruments with my sister, because we made a deal. I would watch Frozen and The Mortal Instruments if she agreed to watch Catching Fire and Divergent (when it is on DVD or when I have downloaded it). I think it was a good deal because I already planned on watching Frozen myself and friends of me are fans of TMI, so I could finally talk with them about it. TMI was a really cool movie, but it’s not that I’m in that fandom now.

6. Books you read
I’ve read 5 chapters of Allegiant and a few chapters of the CSI book I was reading… It’s not much, but I had school camp and test week. I did get a lot of new books. I got two more CSI books and a few days I got two Criminal Minds books, so I’m looking forward to read them (since Criminal Minds is my favorite TV show all time).

7. Drawings you made
I finished my Ruud Feltkamp drawing from previous month, I drew a few things when I was bored at school camp and I made a drawing when I was finished with my English test, but that was it for this month. I hope that next month I can draw a lot, because I had planned to make a few Catching Fire drawings, a Korean singer for a friend, Jamie Campbell Bower for another friend, and some other pictures, so I really want to draw them. In Berlin I did make a “streetart” thing, with paint, and at school with CKV I also made two things with paint.

8. Favorite music
My favorite music is still the rock albums from previous month. My camp music list (for the 10 hour bus drive) contained those albums, Big Time rush’ album 24Seven, a few Taylor Swift songs, and a lot of pop songs which I skipped when listening.

9. Played any games?
On the bus drive to Berlin, we played Mario card on the Nintendo, which was kind of funny because I hadn’t used my Nintendo in a while. But other than that I didn’t play any games.

10. Fashion you bought
I bought new shoes before camp, and some jewelry in the Claire’s in Berlin, but that’s it.

11. Other stuff you bought
Two new phone cases. In the H&M in Berlin I saw a few phone cases and I still needed one for my iPhone. So I bought a neon pink rubber studded case and a green owl case.

12. Something new you learned
Stress isn’t good for your immune system. Every testweek this school year was very stressful, and every testweek I was sort of sick…

This was it for the monthly questions of March. I will try to post more things this month, which will work, because my birthday is in 6 days and it is almost vacation.

My testweek in snapchats

Heyy, so I just had my testweek and I thought it would be nice to make something for this blog during that week. So I made a snapchat of my outfit every day and sometimes another picture to show how my testweek went. Here it is:

This was my outfit on the first day. Just something comfy. 

The first test was biology. It was about DNA and evolution and my grade was a 8,8 (but my teacher made a mistake while marking the tests, so it will be a little higher).

Tuesday. Again something comfy. 

Mathematics was about *things that I can't translate to English because they are already hard enough to say in Dutch*. Luckily I know how to do those things, because my grade was a 9,6. 

Here I didn't care for comfy anymore, so I just wore a shirt with a blazer. 

With English tests, I'm always done too early, so before the test, I ask some paper to draw. The test went fine btw. I got a 8,5.

Studying chemistry for the next day. It was about ions, salts and concentrations (I don't know if these are correctly in English, because they are literally translated from Dutch). 

The day of my chemistry test. It went really well, I got a 9,5.

I was getting sick and I had to study for economics... :(

I did make the test, although I was sick, and I got a 8,9.

And then it was weekend. I only had to learn for three tests, and they were to easiest: a Dutch reading test, physics, sociology and an English watch and listen test. 

In the weekend, it was getting pretty warm. 

Even warmer. 

I forgot to make a picture of my outfit Monday, but Tuesday I was free (because I didn't follow the subjects of those tests). For the Dutch test we still have no grade, but for physics I got a 9,3.

Last day!!! For sociology we still have to get our grades, but for the English watch and listening test I got a 8,6.

My schoolcamp review/vlog

Heyy, sorry I haven't posted a lot lately, but I had schoolcamp and testweek. I wanted to post this earlier, but I simply didn't have the time to do so. But here it is, and my testweek is almost over, and I want to do all creative things after that.

With school camp we went to Berlin for four days, and we stayed in a Youth Hostel somewhere close to the city. This is what we did per day:

Day 1 (March 10):

First was the bus trip. We had to be at school at 9:00 AM and (after a few stops) got to the youth hostel at 7:00 PM. In the bus we played Mario Card on our Nintendo’s, did pictochat, listened to music, and watched a movie (I don’t know which one and I also don’t know what it was about, because I didn’t really followed it).

When we got there we had dinner and then spare time to spend in your room, which means party and fun with everyone. I slept in a 6 person room with 4 persons, so first we dumped our stuff in our room and decided who took which bed. Then we went to other rooms to chill.

Day 2 (March 11):

My outfit

After breakfast we did some sort of city trip. In groups (I was with my roommates) we had to walk through Berlin. But we didn’t have to follow a teacher, we had to do it by ourselves. Every group got a map of the metro system, a street map and a paper with assignments to show us the highlights of Berlin. We had to do every assignment, and when you’re finished with the paper, a pair of teachers gave you the next one. It was really fun, because you saw a lot of things of Berlin, but you had to walk A LOT, which is why a had a huge blister on my foot.

At night, the plan was to go to the ‘Fernsehen Tor’ (the highest TV tower in Berlin and maybe even Europe), but the blister on my foot made me walk limb, which caused my knee to block (because I have awful knees). I decided it was better to rest (I only slept 3 minutes the previous night), so I stayed at the hostel and made some drawings:

Day 3 (March 12):

In the morning we went to a former concentration camp, but that’s not something I want to talk about on a blog.

After the lunch, we had our first choice activity. You had to choose two (one for Wednesday and one for Thursday) and you could choose the Olympic Station, a tour in East-Berlin, a cycling trip in Berlin, a streetart tour followed by a workshop, and the Hamburger-Bahnhof-Museum. For this day I picked Streetart, because I really like streetart and making stuff. First we got a tour from a street artist, who showed us multiple forms of streetart.

The black, white and grey parts are made with permanent paint, the colors are washable. So when it rains, the girl fades into the wall:

You see a lot of these small cute things, like this ghost sticker:

I don’t know if I photographed this because of the girls in the background or the cartoon upfront, but they both look cool:

You also have a lot of these small stickers, which you can make at home and then put on things outside. Some people collect them, especially the ones made by big artists:

Then we went to the gallery and we made our own “streetart” (only not on the street). All kinds of high-contrasted pictures were printed, and we had to cut out the black parts to make a stencil. I chose Merlyn Monroe, because I wanted to make something difficult and a human, so it was the best option. I actually wanted to draw something myself, but then I wouldn’t have enough time.

Next you had to make a background. I wanted to keep mine simple, so I sprayed it blue and then added green in two corners.

If your background was dry, you had to lay your stencil on it and spray it with a different color.

Later, when others weren’t finished, I sprayed my glove blue and my friend sprayed hers black and then we high-fived, so you have a cool effect on the glove.

At night, we went to the Blue Man Group, a music show. It was really amazing to watch and listen to, and there was a lot of humor in the show.

Day 4 (March 13):

In the morning we had our second choice activity. I chose the Hamburger-Bahnhof-Museum. It was very interesting, but it wasn’t really my style (I like realism over abstract). Here are some of the artworks:

We had a group photo at 2:00 PM, and after that, we were free to do whatever we wanted until 10:00 PM. As a girl, you go shopping off course. We went to the Primark and various other clothing stores, but I couldn’t find anything, so I didn’t buy clothes. I did buy two iPhone cases by H&M and some jewelry at Claire’s.

We left Berlin at 10:30 PM and arrived at school at 6:30 AM and I didn’t sleep at night in the bus, but I probably was the only one, so it was kind of boring. I wanted to sleep, but I just can’t sleep in a bus.

This was my Schoolcamp in Berlin, it was amazing.
