monthly questions of June

Heyy everyone, today I'm posting the monthly questions of June. For the summervacation I'm going to do a weekly thing, because these monthly questions are all I post lately... Anyway I hope you like it :D

1. Nicest thing that happened
I don’t know. I think getting a 10,6 for my chemistry test (see next question), because besides the final test week and joining a new fandom, not much has happened in June.

2. Something you’re proud of
Getting a 10 for my chemistry test in the final testweek (it was actually a 10,6 because of the bonus question, but our grading system goes till 10). My final grade for chemistry is now a 9,6, which is a 10 on my grade list :) I was so happy!!! I felt like Spencer Reid (since he studied chemistry) and now I’m helping others who are going to take the test again.

3. One crazy fact about you
I’m a proud nerd :) I love chemistry and mathematics (most of the time), when it is not for school, I love to study and remember things. Like in 9th grade I started learning Japanese (but didn’t continue) and now I’m trying to learn Korean (which is easier than Japanese). I get called Encyclopedia and Erudite smarty-pants by friends, and once a teacher called me nerd (but as compliment).

4. Biggest obsession of the month
K-pop band EXO. Two years ago I used to listen a lot to k-pop (Big Bang, 2NE1, Infinite, Jay Park…). My sister hated it back then. Now she suddenly listens to EXO, so I joined her and now I’m an Exotic :) My biases are Lu Han, Baekhyun, Chen and Tao :3 and the rest is my secret bias ;)

5. Movies you saw
I didn’t watch any movies this month, but I did watch a few EXO showtime episodes in my spare time. But The Fault In Our Stars comes out next month so I will see that next month (at least once). HOW AM I GOING TO SURVIVE THAT???

6. Books you read
I started in the first criminal minds book, but so far I’ve only read one chapter. But luckily I have more time after the test week to read, because my reading list is getting longer and longer. The first few things on the list are: The Mortal Instruments series, The Maze Runner series, the other John Green books and If I stay.

7. Drawings you made
After my testweek I made a lot of drawings. I also started a drawing account on instagram, so follow me @erudite_drawings

8. Favorite music
EXO. I’m really obsessed with them :D

9. Did anything new
It’s not really much, but I started using a new drawing technique/method. Normally I would print the image on paper so I would have it next to me, but now I’m using images on my phone, which is kind of harder (for me), because it is a smaller screen and I can’t hold it next to me because my phone is thicker than paper, so it will irritate my arm. But I think it is better for our finances and the environment, because I’ve printed over 100 images (so lots of ink) and it costs a lot of paper.

10. Fashion you bought
Nope, but I need to go shopping soon for summer stuff, so hopefully I will have new clothes next month.

11. Other stuff you bought
Damn it, I really need to go shopping…

12. Something new you learned
I’m a freaking emotional wrack… I already knew that I cried easily, but normally not much at movies/music and stuff… but my sister showed me a performance of Baekhyun and Chen (EXO) and they sang a sad song and that was probably the first time I cried on a song. Now everytime I hear ‘Miracles in December’ or ‘Baby, don’t cry’ I start crying…

My look at the Divergent movie

Heyy, I went to see Divergent on April 5th and it was really amazing. In my opinion in was true to the book and the cast was amazing. 

For the people who don't know the book/movie, a summery:

Sociaty is devided into five factions based on personality: Erudite (the intelligent), Amity (the peacefull), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave) and Abnegation (the selfless). Tris (originally from Abnegation) is a Divergent, which means she doesn't fit into just one faction, but more. According to the leaders, Divergents threaten the system because they can't be controlled. Tris chose Dauntless and then has to survive the initiation process (and more). But she's not alone, because she meets Four (yeah, like the number), who helps her. Tris is played by Shailene Woodley, the handsome Four by Theo James and Tris' handsome brother is played by Ansel Elgort.

As you may know from 'my look at the Catching Fire movie premiere', I go to fandom movies in "costume". So for the Divergent movie, I dressed as Erudite. Fake nerd glasses, a tie and no other color than blue (every faction has it's own colors: Erudite has blue, Amity has red and yellow, Candor has black and white, Dauntless wear black and Abnegation wears grey). Here is my 'casual' version of the look (so without glasses or tie):

Monthly Questions: January

Heyy, today is February 2th, so it's time to review last month. So here it is:

1. Nicest thing that happened
On January 1st, I had a sleepover, which was really fun. We first went to a movie for school, then we had a Criminal Minds marathon and more.

2. Something you’re proud of
The thing I’m most proud of, are my grades from last test week. My lowest grade is a 7.7, my highest a 10. I'm also proud of the fact that my two blogs existed one year this month. I never thought I would still be posting by now, but I am. 

3. One crazy fact about you
I can remember every Criminal Minds episode and every line in the Hunger Games books.

4. Biggest obsession of the month
I think my biggest obsessions this month are Catching Fire and Divergent (the last one since a few days). I have seen Catching Fire more than 6 times now, and I am counting down for Mockingjay part 1 and 2 and for Divergent. And I think they will be obsessions for a long time.

5. Movies you saw
In the first few days of the month, I’ve saw ‘The Diner’ and ‘Soof’, two dutch movies. The first one I saw was for school, the second one just for pleasure. I don’t know if it is translated into other languages, because ‘Soof’ is originally Dutch, but Dan Karaty is in it and he is an amazing dancer. 

6. Books you read
In the beginning of the month, I bought the book Divergent. I just finished it and it is an amazing book, I’m so excited for the movie!!! Because I had testweek, I hadn’t much spare time, so I didn’t read much (one book in a month isn’t much for me), but next month I will read more (I hope).

7. Drawings you made
I made a few realistic drawings and a few kawaii drawings with a ballpen.

8. Favorite music
This month I listened to Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and other (country) rock songs like kryptonite by 3 doors down and hero by Nickelback. I don’t know why, but lately I like those kind of songs more than happy pop songs. I also like the Catching Fire soundtrack, my favorite song on it is ‘We Remain’ by Christina Aguilera.

9. Played any games?
I didn’t play any games this month, except for quizbattle on my iPhone (and only against my father), because I didn’t had much time. I had ten tests to prepare for in the testweek.

10. Fashion you bought
The fashion items I bought I already showed in my two shoplogs. I bought a sweater, a t-shirt, a crop top, and a skater skirt. 

11. Other stuff you bought
Some other things I bought I showed in my shoplogs of this month. They were a few notebooks, the book Divergent, a bow hairclip, three bow headbands and a bag.

12. Something new you learned
The first and second law of Newton :D (I feel such a nerd now…)
