Monthly questions: May

I'm so sorry for not posting for so long, and I know I say this everytime, but it is because of school. My last testweek started on June 10th, but the stress started 3 weeks before... Luckily I have a lot of free time after that to draw, read, shop and write and more, so I hope I will be able to post more things then. Here are the monthly questions of May, sorry they are this late.

1. Nicest things that happened
The vacation, my English debate of May 23, watching a horror movie with friends and my belated birthday party. The vacation was so nice, I barely made any homework (while I’m the kind of person who makes homework on Christmas day at family because I have little time). It felt so good to do just nothing special. And the English debate is probably the funniest thing that had happened at school in a long time. We had to lead the debates and give the groups the statements. Mine was last, and the statement was: “The differences between the social image of men and women should stay this way”. It was very hard for the groups to make arguments for this, so the arguments were full of bullsh*t, but really funny. One guy said: “If a guy wants to wear yoga pants and make-up he can’t because he will be discriminated.” And then this girl responded with: “If a guy wants to wear yoga pants and make-up he should go to a hospital and chop off his ****”. (and this was a debate in class for grades). On May 24 I watched a horror movie with my best friend and another friend. It was my first horror movie. My friends were really scared, but I wasn’t, so I was horror movie commentator that evening. The boy and I also tried to scare my best friend afterwards, which was really funny. On May 29 was my belated birthday. The night before this we had barely slept, because we had a sleepover, but is was really nice. The gift I liked the most was a notebook, because on the first pages each of my friends wrote something really nice and cute, like they were happy to be my friends. This really felt good, because my “friends” from last school year left me.

2. Something you’re proud of
At 10 may I got 200 followers on my fan account on twitter in 24 days. I started it on my birthday (April 17) and I’m really proud that I got this in less than a month. I tweet a lot about The Hunger Games, Divergent, Criminal Minds, other crime series, The Fault In Our Stars and other things, so if you like these things please follow me @Erudite_Minds (I follow back fan account with the same main fandoms as me)

Okay so I now already have more than 300, but please follow me

3. One crazy fact about you
I have a lot in common with Criminal Minds character Spencer Reid. We are both smart (I’m not as smart as he is, but who is (except for Sheldon Cooper from TBBT who has the same IQ as Spencer)), we both love to read, speak in a super fast tempo, have our own logic, fail at sports (the FBI had to make an exception to allow him into the field, I have exceptions in my gym classes), he has studied Chemistry while I’m planning to (probably, but I’m not fully sure), we are more comfortable talking science than small talk, we see/smell/hear things quicker than others,… there is a whole list. This is probably why I love the character so much, because I recognize myself in him.

Some people feel scared by my knowledge too (like my own parents)

4. Biggest obsession of the month
Criminal Minds. This month was the two parted season finale. For the first episode was said: two agents will fall down and there was a promo where I saw my favorite (Spencer Reid) being shot. For the second one was known that one team member’s live is in danger, Garcia has to shoot someone in order to protect a fellow agent and one profiler will say goodbye forever. I spend one week making speculations about who was going to leave, and I was hoping for a specific person (no spoilers: not because I hated that person, but because I love the rest way more,) but the way that person left was heartbreaking and I was like: “Come back!” :( But my fav survived <3

5. Movies you saw
I saw Divergent (again in the theaters) with the same people as the first time at May 1st. And on May 5th I saw the Other Woman, which was a really funny movie.

6. Books you read
The Fault In Our Stars (again, but now for school). That’s the only book I read :(

7. Drawings you made
I drew Johanna Mason, and some chibi things in notebooks. I also started on a Criminal Minds selfie, but it isn’t nearly finished.

8. Favorite music
Still the rock music. At school in a homework hour with my chemistry teacher, he started to play his music (which is also rock music) and I liked it, so he suggested a few bands. I haven’t had time to listen to them yet, but when I do, I will tell.

9. Played any games?
Nope, no games this month. I don’t play a lot of games, so I’m going to replace this with another question for the next months.

10. Fashion you bought
No, not really, so I’m going to show some outfits I wore last month.

Just a nice outfit

11. Other stuff you bought
Nothing, … so I’m going to place some random (okay not random, but fandom related) pictures that are on my phone ;P

12. Something new you learned
Don’t always judge a person on how they act, because sometimes there is a good reason why they act that way. A friend of me always acts really though and like she doesn’t care, but a few days ago on that sleepover she showed us a whole new side of her, and now I understand why she does the things she does.

This was is for now

I hope you liked it

Monthly Questions: March

Heyy, today I finally have the monthly questions of March, although it's already April 11th. Here it is:

1. Nicest thing that happened
School camp to Berlin. I have already posted a review of that. This is the link: http://fashionistar17.blogspot.nl/2014/03/my-schoolcamp-reviewvlog.html

2. Something you’re proud of
I’ve lost 2 kilos (= 4.4 pounds) in 4 weeks. I was so proud of myself. Since Augustus 2013 I’ve been trying to lose weight through a program with a sport group and help from a nutritionist. From Augustus to December I’ve lost 2 kilos, but then in January and February I’ve gained 2 kilos, so I was so glad that I lost them again in such a short time.

3. One crazy fact about you
I’m good at “copying” things. When I sing (I don’t sing very well, but still) I copy the way the person sings (like the pitch, accents, intonations, and more). When I draw someone from a photo, I “copy” the photo with my pencil. Typography and cartoon drawing is also sort of copying for me. Studying for a test is copying the things in my head. Unconsciously I have copied behavior, like how to react when someone is hurt or sad, because I didn’t use to know how to react to situations like that.

4. Biggest obsession of the month
My test week :( It isn’t a nice obsession, but this whole month has been about the test week, even sometimes when we were at school camp. I’ve offered to help someone with Physics on camp. The week between camp and testweek was a huge stress week for me, because I was running behind on almost every subject. I hade to take medicines to deal with the stress, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to write a single answer, even if I did know it. But those medicines did help, because my grades are a 6.8 for Dutch, 8,2 for Sociology, 8.5 and 8.6 for English, 8.9 for Economics, 9.1 for Biology, 9.3 for Physics, 9.5 for Chemistry and a 9.6 for Mathematics.

5. Movies you saw
This month I have watched ‘Frozen’ and ‘The Mortal Instruments’. I didn’t had much time to watch movies or do anything fun actually, because of school. I really loved Frozen, it’s such a cute sweet movie. I watched The Mortal Instruments with my sister, because we made a deal. I would watch Frozen and The Mortal Instruments if she agreed to watch Catching Fire and Divergent (when it is on DVD or when I have downloaded it). I think it was a good deal because I already planned on watching Frozen myself and friends of me are fans of TMI, so I could finally talk with them about it. TMI was a really cool movie, but it’s not that I’m in that fandom now.

6. Books you read
I’ve read 5 chapters of Allegiant and a few chapters of the CSI book I was reading… It’s not much, but I had school camp and test week. I did get a lot of new books. I got two more CSI books and a few days I got two Criminal Minds books, so I’m looking forward to read them (since Criminal Minds is my favorite TV show all time).

7. Drawings you made
I finished my Ruud Feltkamp drawing from previous month, I drew a few things when I was bored at school camp and I made a drawing when I was finished with my English test, but that was it for this month. I hope that next month I can draw a lot, because I had planned to make a few Catching Fire drawings, a Korean singer for a friend, Jamie Campbell Bower for another friend, and some other pictures, so I really want to draw them. In Berlin I did make a “streetart” thing, with paint, and at school with CKV I also made two things with paint.

Drawing for CKV artworks. The words/sentences are Dutch and English bad words. The project had to be about a social/world issue, so I choose bullying.

8. Favorite music
My favorite music is still the rock albums from previous month. My camp music list (for the 10 hour bus drive) contained those albums, Big Time rush’ album 24Seven, a few Taylor Swift songs, and a lot of pop songs which I skipped when listening.

9. Played any games?
On the bus drive to Berlin, we played Mario card on the Nintendo, which was kind of funny because I hadn’t used my Nintendo in a while. But other than that I didn’t play any games.

10. Fashion you bought
I bought new shoes before camp, and some jewelry in the Claire’s in Berlin, but that’s it.

11. Other stuff you bought
Two new phone cases. In the H&M in Berlin I saw a few phone cases and I still needed one for my iPhone. So I bought a neon pink rubber studded case and a green owl case.

12. Something new you learned
Stress isn’t good for your immune system. Every testweek this school year was very stressful, and every testweek I was sort of sick…

This was it for the monthly questions of March. I will try to post more things this month, which will work, because my birthday is in 6 days and it is almost vacation.

I hope you like it :D

Monthly Questions: February

Heyy, sorry I haven't posted anything in a month, but February was a really busy month for me. But I have a new post for you, so here are the questions of February:

1. Nicest thing that happened
I think the nicest thing that happened this month was the sleepover on February 28th. After school, we went to the Primark and the movie theatre to see Winter’s tale, which was a beautiful movie. Then we got lost in the city (which we both thought we knew well) and when we finally found out way back, we went to the ‘mediamarkt’ (an electronic shop) to make selfies with the iPhones and iPads. It was a really fun night.

2. Something you’re proud of
I got 10.000 views on a single video on February 1st. It is a Spencer Reid fanvideo on my Spencer Reid channel, and it’s on One Direction’s song ‘Kiss You’. If you want to see it, here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYo5KP3L8tc

3. One crazy fact about you
I think I might have some form of OCD, because one day I was searching for buttons in an old shoebox, and suddenly I was organizing them, until the box was almost empty. And I think there were over 500 buttons…

4. Biggest obsession of the month
Divergent. I still have to read Allegiant, but I’m already obsessed with the books and the movie. In the movie theatre, they had three different Divergent bookmarks, so I grabbed four of each, nine in total for myself and one set for a friend. On our way to the room where the movie would play, we saw a huge Divergent poster. Then while sitting in the seats and watching trailers, they played the Divergent trailer and my friend and I got a fangirl attack…

(I don't know why this picture is upside down)

5. Movies you saw
I didn’t see a lot of movies this month, there were a few on the television and Winter’s tale in the movie theatre. On TV I saw Lemonade Mouth and Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1

6. Books you read
This month I have read Insurgent and The Fault In Our Stars. I still have to read Allegiant, but I’m afraid to start in it because I’ve read some huge spoilers online. I also started in a CSI book based on the TV-series, CSI team spirit (it is Dutch, so it is actually called teamgeest). My mom found 7 CSI books on a trading site for 15 euro’s, and since I couldn’t find them in my local library since more than a year and I really liked reading the ones they did have earlier, my mom bought them for me. Four are normal CSI, two are CSI: NY and one is CSI:Miami.

7. Drawings you made
I didn’t draw much this month, because I didn’t have much time. I had a vacation of one week, but I had a lot of appointments and birthdays and homework, so I began on one drawing and I haven’t had the time to finish it. It is a Dutch actor, Ruud Feltkamp. And one night I made two charcoal drawings, and I made some drawings into a notebook at school, but nothing very special. I did make a voucher/coupon thing for a birthday. The best friends of a friend of my mother wanted to give her a surprise party and wanted to give her a tattoo as a gift. The tattooshop didn’t have vouchers/coupons, so they asked me to draw one, and since that friend loves turtles, I drew a turtle. I also drew the tattoo a few years back, but I don't gave a picture of it on my phone.

8. Favorite music
I’ve downloaded a lot of music this month. Most of them are rock albums, because I’m starting to really like rock music. Since I’ve downloaded at least 9 albums, I’m going to talk about my favorites. I really liked Evanescence’s ‘Fallen’, The Fray’s album ‘How To Save A Life’, Trading Yesterday’s album ‘More Than This’, Paramore’s ‘All We Know Is Falling’ and 3 Doors Down’s album ‘The Better Life’. Most of the time, I like men singing more than females singing, but this didn’t apply in the case of Evanescence and Paramore, because I really like them.

9. Played any games?
I didn’t play any games this month…

10. Fashion you bought
I didn’t buy much this month, only a few hair accessories and a t-shirt from the Primark.

(I don't know if you can see, but the print on the shirt are bows)

11. Other stuff you bought
I also didn’t buy a lot of other things. I don’t know why, but February seemed much shorter than normal, because I feel like I’ve done nothing this month.

12. Something new you learned
I’ve learned that it isn’t good for your eyes and head to watch 8 episodes of Criminal Minds on one day on your laptop, because once you’re finished, you can’t see the subtitles on your TV (not that I need them, but still) and you get a headache… The reason I watched so many episodes is that on my Spencereid17 blog, I post a review every 7 or 8 episodes with screenshots of the episodes, so I had to watch them all over again to make the screenshots. I still have to write the review though…
(This isn't for the review I still have to write, it's from the previous)

This was it for this post

I hope you liked it :D
